  Philoptochos – Helen Psihountas, (770) 298-4496
  Philoptochos means “friend of the poor” and is the church’s primary philanthropic organization. Its purpose is to assist those in need, both within and outside our Orthodox community. Philoptochos members engage in a variety of fund-raising activities throughout the year to provide the resources for their philanthropic endeavors.
  
  Religious Education Program – Katie Wilson, (404) 434-0877
  In our effort to assist our Orthodox Christian community, and those desiring to learn more about our faith, the Religious Education Program offers instruction for all ages on Sunday mornings following the Divine Liturgy and during the week as scheduled. Our Priest, Fr. George also offers instructional classes for Orthodox inquirers and catechumens, as noted on the calendar and by appointment.
   

  Outreach Committee – Lydia McGee (404) 405-5370
  This committee welcomes visitors and new families who wish to join our parish and assists in reaching out to Orthodox Christians from all nationalities as well as non-Orthodox in the south metropolitan Atlanta area who are interested in learning more about the Orthodox Church. 
   

  Newsletter– Susan Kleto, (678) 877-9115
  Our parish publishes a monthly full-color newsletter whose aim is to inform our parishioners of spiritual messages from Fr. George, updates from our Parish Council, Philoptochos Society, and ministry chairmen, and inform our parishioners of upcoming services and events with an up-to-date calendar.

  The choir leads the faithful during our worship services. Participation is open to all who feel called and who can attend rehearsals on a regular basis.
   

  Chantors – George Skouteris, (770) 253-2722
  Chantors are an essential part of all church services through their readings and responses to the Priest’s prayers.
   

  Altar Servers and Myrrh Bearers – Fr. George Tsahakis, (770)381-1842
  Fr. George invites our boys, aged 10 years and older, and our girls, aged 10 years and older, to join the Altar Boys and Myrrh Bearers, respectively. Throughout the year, they have the opportunity to serve during church services as our Priest designates.
  
  Prosfora/Kolyva/Artoklasia – Presbytera Marinda Tsahakis, (770) 381-1842
  Parishioners are encouraged to offer prosfora (offering bread), kolyva (memorial wheat) and artoklasia (five Loaves, wine, and wheat) on behalf of their families to our Lord during our special worship services. Individual and group instruction on how to prepare these are provided throughout the year and by special request. 
  
  Hellenic Language – vacant ministry - to be announced
  The Hellenic Language classes provide conversational Greek language training for youth and adults.
   

  Hellenic Dance – Katie Wilson, (404) 434-0877
  This purpose of this ministry is assist our parishioners learn and share our Greek history, culture and tradition through Hellenic Folk Dance.
  
  Greek Orthodox Youth of America (GOYA) – Sheryl Vasiliadis (770) 252-7881
  The mission of the GOYA ministry is to lead our youth, grades 7 through 12, into experiencing the Orthodox faith. GOYA assists these young people on their journey toward salvation using the basic principles of worship, fellowship, service and witness in fun and relaxed settings outside of worship services and religious education classes.   Hellenic Orthodox Primary Education (HOPE)/Junior Orthodox Youth (JOY) – Emilia Moraitis, (678) 423-7951 & Katie Wilson, (404) 434-0877
  HOPE is a youth program for students aged kindergarten through grade two. JOY is a wonderful program for children in grades three through six. Songs, games, craft projects and other activities will aid the discussion sessions to help provide a practical understanding of the church’s formal teachings. Meetings are conducted in an informal, relaxed atmosphere to balance the more formal experience of worship services and religious education classes.
  
  St. Christopher Hellenic Bookstore – Becky Butler, (770) 461-1800 and Emilia Moraitis, (678) 423-7951
  The bookstore provides the opportunity for parishioners to acquire icons, books, and religious worship items of our beautiful Orthodox faith and heritage. Catalogs are available for requesting special purchase items.
  
  Education, Youth & Culture Diakonia Committee – Tammy Soulakos, (404) 625-4663
  This committee provides oversight and encouragement to the education, youth, and culture committees. Its purpose is to ensure the quality of the church’s education, youth, and cultural programs, and to offer assistance to these ministries in fulfilling their responsibilities.
  
  Real Estate Committee – Cynthia Cromartie, (770) 487-7384
  The mission of this committee is to advise the Parish Council regarding adequate property for future building, growth, and development of St. Christopher Hellenic Orthodox Church in the Peachtree City, Georgia geographic area.
