Join us with your family safely from your home on Pascha (Easter) at 3:00 p.m. As we social distance, we invite you to share conversation while we enjoy our lamb, potatoes, and our special Pascha foods. Update us on what you’ve been doing. To keep the meeting manageable, I ask that only one person in each family register in advance so I can send the meeting password for you to join. During Sunday’s Glendi, we can pass around our smartphone or tablet, or gather in front of our desktop computer for family members to share news with our parishioners. It will be fun and unique. We are Hellenes – whether we will be with our family, spouse, or by ourselves – we can share, show, and shine in our homes in spite of the need to stay apart on Pascha. Won’t you join us?
Registering is easy… simply click the link at the end of this message on your smartphone, tablet, or desktop computer to get your unique password to log in. For convenience, you may download the free Zoom videoconference app for free at your app store called “Zoom Cloud Meetings”. [Hint, on Sunday afternoon, log in a few minutes before 3:00 p.m. to ensure you are logged on.]
I will offer the blessing of our individual Pascha meals at 3:00 p.m. and we will sing Christ is Risen. If you plan to eat earlier or later, no worries… I want to share the same blessing as a parish family that I always do. Then, families can begin sharing, taking turns to offer their remarks one at a time, alphabetically by their last name.
When you sign in, mute your sound until the letter of your last name is called and then unmute and share for one or two minutes whatever you wish. Perhaps you can introduce your family who are present, offer a short greeting, tell us what menu you planned, display your Tsoureki or decorated Easter eggs, and/or anything else you wish. After every family speaks, we can continue to share for those interested.
This event is optional; we would love for everyone to join for a little while! If you are a friend of our parish or parishioner who has moved away, we hope you will join us. We will take a group photo of users logged in!
