The Sunday following Pentecost is dedicated to All Saints, both those who are known to us, and those who are known only to God. There have been saints at all times, and they have come from every corner of the earth. They were Apostles, Martyrs, Prophets, Hierarchs, Monastics, and Righteous, yet all were perfected by the same Holy Spirit.
This surprise "Kiss of Peace" between our children reminds us “... the steadfast love of the Lord is from everlasting to everlasting on those who fear Him, and His righteousness to children’s children…” (Psalm 103:17)
Fr. George offered a 40 Day Memorial for our beloved sister Elizabeth (Misty) and God's servant, Constantine, of Houston. We pray their memory be eternal.
Our young parishioner celebrates her "5th Birthday" by donating to the Building Fund a gift equal to $1 for each year of her age. This tradition began with our departed sister in Christ, Helen Hayes, who taught us to thank God for our blessings and it has become an endearing tradition shared by our adults and youth. Chronia Polla, dear Evie!
Today, our Ladies Philoptochos Society helped our parishioners recognize this year's college graduates... Mary, Gabriella, John, Angelique, Athena, & Nick. Congratulations to our graduates and their supportive families. A delicious parish breakfast followed. We thank all those who assisted. Fr. George challenged each graduate to offer one new gift of their time or talents to thank our Lord for blessing them with their achievements. Glory to God in all things!
