The Assembly of Canonical Orthodox Bishops of the United States of America have published a comprehensive statement entitled "On the Sacredness of Human Life and its Untimely Termination"
Join us for dinner and book study... our first summer session is Tuesday, May 17th, at the home of Kirk & Dedee Panayis. Try to arrive at 5:30 p.m. for fellowship, 6:00 p.m. for dinner, and book discussion at 6:30 p.m. We will conclude by 7:20 p.m. Our featured text is "Lord & Master of My life" by His Eminence Archbishop Makarios of Australia, who in his illuminating and spiritually edifying book prudently offers “Reflections on Spiritual Alertness.” Just as monks are summoned to prayer by the sound of the talanton, His Eminence Archbishop Makarios prayerfully calls upon the faithful to repentance through his explanation of this truly Orthodox prayer, “the Prayer of Great Lent.” - From the 'Foreword' by His Grace Bishop Silouan of Sinope.

Beginning in September and continuing monthly, Fr. George will help our parishioners recognize special relationships we have within God's Holy Church. On September 19th, he will highlight the blessed godchild/godparent relationship. To celebrate the blessing that Godparents offer in family life and in spiritual journeys, he hopes our Godparents and Godchildren can join us in person or by video livestreaming.
On Sunday, September 19th, following Religious Education classes, join us for this annual blessing of the Fanouropita and silent auction of Fanouropites for parishioners to purchase and enjoy at home. Proceeds from our Philoptochos silent auction will benefit the Youth of our Metropolis, so that all who are interested will be able to attend Youth activities within the Metropolis of Atlanta.
