Vasilopita Delivery by Fr. George & Presbytera Marinda Tsahakis
For our St. Christopher Church Virtual Vasilopita this year, Presbytera Marinda Tsahakis and other parishioners prepared “St. Basil’s Bread” sold by Philoptochos online with all proceeds benefiting St. Basil’s Academy in Garrison, NY (next to West Point Academy). Presbytera Marinda and Fr. George and their family distributed Presbytera Marinda’s three Vasilopitas to our Fire and Rescue workers at Peachtree City Fire and Rescue Station 81 on Sunday, January 03, 2021. They thanked the fire and rescue workers on behalf of our parishioners for their great services and sacrifices. They also witnessed the philanthropy of St. Basil and the tradition of the gold coin inside each Vasilopita. May God bless St. Basil’s Academy and all our public service providers. Thanks be to God for giving us so much joy with our Virtual Vasilopita event this year and thanks to those who donated to St. Basil’s Academy.

Dear Father George and Helen,
I was at New Leaf Community Garden (NLCG) this morning and presented our loaf to those present (photo attached). Fortunately, the group consisted of our core volunteers who grow the vegetables, both for organizations such as Meals on Wheels, as well as for their own use.
The tradition of Saint Basil was shared with them and six slices distributed with our hard working director, Kim, receiving the coin in her slice. They were all appreciative and look forward to our next GreekFest as well as our upcoming drive through event.
We hope you have had a joyful celebration with your families. We look forward to seeing you tomorrow at Church.
